What We Are Seeking

We are looking for a mid-level Full Stack Software Developer with strong experience in TypeScript, NestJS, and modern front-end frameworks like Svelte to help us build scalable, well-tested, and user-focused applications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, communicate clearly, and take ownership of their work while fostering shared responsibility for the codebase.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and design to understand and clarify feature requirements, identifying edge cases and potential risks.
  • Identify and challenge assumptions, validating them with stakeholders as needed.
  • Build and maintain backend services using NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript, with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Develop user interfaces and front-end logic using Svelte, emphasizing clarity, responsiveness, and maintainability.
  • Write clean, modular code that adheres to team standards and documentation practices.
  • Break down large tasks into smaller, manageable units for smooth execution.
  • Write unit tests with high coverage, integration and functional tests to ensure system reliability.
  • Adhere to the team’s definition of done and track technical debt.
  • Participate in collaborative, high-quality code reviews that promote learning and continuous improvement.
  • Embrace feedback and change as part of a constructive and iterative review process.
  • Merge code when automated CI checks pass and peer reviews are approved.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to automate pipelines and CI/CD processes as the system evolves.
  • Actively engage in agile practices established by the team.
  • Adapt as product priorities shift and understanding of business value evolves.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript, including backend (Node.js, NestJS) and frontend (Svelte) development.
  • Proven ability to write and maintain robust unit and integration tests.
  • Experience working with CI/CD workflows and Git-based version control.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work full-time on a 9–5 schedule in the ET or CT time zone, regardless of physical location.
  • Ability to think critically, take ownership of tasks, and contribute to team-wide engineering decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Vite or other modern frontend build tools.
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and DevOps tooling.
  • Exposure to observability, performance monitoring, or logging tools.
  • Interest in mentoring or supporting other developers through feedback and collaboration.

  • Remote-first: Work from anywhere, as long as you're available during a 9–5 ET or CT schedule.
