The Role

As the Technical Sales Manager, you will play a central role in driving revenue growth. This high-impact, fully remote role is ideal for someone with a strong desire to sell, a technical mindset and the ability to build long-term customer relationships in a niche industry.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across North, East, and West Germany
  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies to meet growth targets and your own KPIs
  • Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and tailor solutions accordingly
  • Present systems with clarity and confidence
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Prepare accurate quotations and proposals based on technical specifications
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, pipeline activity, and forecasts
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to build brand presence
  • Provide market feedback to internal teams to support product development and positioning
  • Manage post-sale relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities
  • Work independently from a home office, managing your schedule and priorities
  • Continuously expand your technical knowledge through training and hands-on experience
  • Build long-term partnerships in a niche industry where trust and reliability are key
  • Contribute to team discussions, share insights, and support cross-functional collaboration

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferably within the industrial machinery, packaging, automation, or related sectors.
  • Proven ability to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
  • Solution-based selling and industrial sales cycles familiarity
  • Ability to interpret and discuss customer specifications confidently
  • Strategic thinking with a results-driven, “hunter” mentality
  • Quotation experience and skilled in preparing accurate and technical proposals
  • Independent and comfortable managing sales territories
  • Experience working directly with clients on tailored technical solutions
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English and German
  • Comfortable working with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools, using data to manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and optimize performance.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to understand margin structures, pricing strategies, and financial implications of sales deals.
  • Highly self-motivated, hands-on and proactive, with strong time management
  • Reliable, detail-oriented and accurate in execution
  • Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving environment
