About UKClimbing Ltd: We're the team behind UKClimbing, UKHillwalking, Rockfax Digital and Rockfax guidebooks. We are an employee owned company since 2023 and our mission is to provide the best information to climbers worldwide.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of our climbing-focused digital applications. This role will appeal to anyone looking to work across our entire technology stack, including our iOS app, web tools, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. This fully remote role gives you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK while making a meaningful impact on the climbing community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain our iOS app (Rockfax Digital)
  • Build and enhance our user facing and internal full-stack web applications
  • Collaborate across the company to deliver solutions
  • Write clean, high-performance, and maintainable code
  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute within the team

Technical Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional iOS development experience, with at least one app released on the App Store
  • Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
  • Experience with full-stack web development
  • Significant experience with any modern frontend framework: React, Vue, Svelte, or similar
  • Strong understanding of API design and implementation
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git)

Preferred Qualifications
