Web Developer for Mapbox Mapping

This role focuses on developing custom, interactive web maps for infrastructure and urban development projects. The specialist will leverage Mapbox and related web mapping technologies to translate complex geospatial data into engaging, user-friendly digital experiences. Working closely with creative and technical teams, you will ensure that map solutions align with project objectives and support effective visual storytelling. The position requires a strong understanding of web development, geospatial data integration, and performance optimization for both web and mobile platforms. Deliverables

• Develop and implement custom interactive maps using Mapbox GL JS and similar platforms
• Integrate and visualize geospatial datasets, including GIS, CAD, and LiDAR data
• Design intuitive user interfaces for map-based web applications
• Collaborate with project teams to align mapping solutions with creative and technical goals
• Optimize map performance for seamless web and mobile delivery
• Embed interactive maps within existing web platforms or applications
• Simplify and present complex infrastructure data for diverse audiences

Requirements

• Proven experience with Mapbox, Mapbox GL JS, and web mapping frameworks
• Strong web development skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• Proficiency in handling and integrating GIS, CAD, and LiDAR data formats
• Experience with API integration and geospatial data workflows
• Ability to translate technical data into clear, interactive visualizations
• Familiarity with infrastructure, transport, or urban planning projects is desirable
• Knowledge of 3D mapping workflows or digital twin platforms is a plus
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
