About the Role
Summit Human Capital is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to build and enhance web applications that support the client’s engineering ecosystem. This fully remote role focuses on creating intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user experiences while integrating front-end applications with backend services and shared design systems.
You will contribute to product features, front-end architecture, API integrations, automated testing, and performance improvements. Working closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers, you will help deliver scalable applications through an iterative development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver product features for web applications, including training and documentation modules, catalog discovery, and submission and approval workflows.
- Own front-end implementation, including application architecture, component design, state management, routing, performance optimization, and accessibility.
- Integrate applications with APIs to manage metadata, validate information, and display approval states, status updates, and real-time notifications.
- Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to improve application reliability.
- Develop robust error-handling mechanisms and support quality assurance through well-defined testing scenarios.
- Implement analytics and telemetry instrumentation to support data-driven product decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to define scope, refine acceptance criteria, and deliver features incrementally.
- Work with backend services, including Python-based microservices, to support end-to-end application functionality.
- Contribute to long-term front-end architecture planning and the evolution of shared design systems.
- Support sustainable release practices and contribute to performance, maintainability, and scalability improvements.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of experience developing web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs.
- Experience collaborating with Python-based microservices.
- Familiarity with design systems and front-end performance optimization.
- Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments.
- Experience with React server-side rendering (SSR) frameworks.
- Experience integrating Python-backed APIs using Django and/or FastAPI.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, and backend engineering teams.
Location and Work Arrangement
This is a 100% remote position supporting a financial services client. The role focuses on front-end development and collaboration with backend services and design systems to deliver scalable user experiences.
