Solutions Engineer

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Solutions Engineer. The Solutions Engineer will collaborate with clients and internal teams to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that align with project requirements and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include gathering and analyzing requirements, producing solution designs, integrating software and systems, and providing technical guidance during presales and delivery phases. The role also involves preparing and presenting solution proposals, supporting sales and consulting activities with clear technical input, and troubleshooting integration issues. The Solutions Engineer will document solutions, maintain accurate technical records, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Strong software development skills, including designing, implementing, and testing technical solutions.
• Experience in consulting, with the ability to understand client needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
• Background in sales and presales support, including creating technical proposals and participating in client presentations.
• Hands-on integration experience, connecting multiple systems, platforms, or tools in complex environments.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Experience in Rail, Renewables, or Utilities sectors is an advantage, as is familiarity with sustainable engineering practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and manage part-time workloads with clear prioritization.
