Co-founder / Senior Full-stack Engineer (Equity) — Sustainability & Decarbonization Platform

We’re looking for a technical co-founder (senior full-stack engineer with solution architecture experience) who is willing to take shared ownership of the development and expansion of an existing online ESG platform in exchange for equity. We’re not starting from scratch- an MVP is already live, has paying customers, and provides a solid foundation that we now want to significantly modernise and scale.

The vision

We are building a comprehensive online platform for corporate sustainability management, helping companies simplify and streamline data collection, strategy creation, KPI tracking, and automated reporting. On top of that, the platform will include a marketplace of practical solutions that enable real, measurable sustainability improvements and decarbonisation.

Our goal is to transform the product from a compliance tool into a strategic “engine” that accelerates decarbonisation and sustainability performance. That means a proactive ecosystem that doesn’t just show companies what’s happening, but recommends what to do next- with clear, prioritised, data-backed actions.

What you’ll do

• Co-lead product delivery and technology: architecture, hands-on development, backlog ownership, fast iterations driven by customer feedback.
• Modernise UX/UI, scale the platform, and build core modules (reporting, KPI management, carbon, workflow).
• Make AI a core differentiator: automated data ingestion, anomaly detection, recommendations, “next best action”.
• Set engineering standards (CI/CD, code quality, security, testing) and potentially help build a small engineering team over time.

Who we’re looking for

• A senior engineer/architect who can deliver end-to-end and thinks product-first.
• Experience with cloud platforms, data modelling, and integrations (APIs, imports, connectors).
• Entrepreneurial mindset -comfortable with risk, ownership, and equity.
• Hands-on: you’re happy to “get your hands dirty” with code, while also planning strategically and leveraging modern tools and trends.
• Excited by the challenge of implementing AI capabilities in enterprise software.

Current stack (what the existing solution is built on)

You’ll be taking over a functioning product built on proven technologies - this is not a greenfield build, but a modernisation and scaling journey.

• C# + Angular + Microsoft SQL Server
• Azure services (e.g., Blob Storage, Functions) and deployment in Azure Hybrid Cloud (public Azure also possible)
• Data import via Excel templates or REST API, repository in Azure DevOps
