About The Role The Leidos Health and Services Sector is seeking a Junior Web Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of secure and public-facing web content. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and enhance web applications and websites that meet government standards for security, style, and functionality. The Junior Web Developer will assist in managing web content, ensuring hyperlink integrity, formatting text, transferring files, and posting translated or newly approved materials. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of web technologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. This position requires US citizenship, current residence in the United States, and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant project experience supporting web content management and development
- Proficiency in HTML scripting and related web technologies
- Experience supporting internal and external web page maintenance and SharePoint environments
- Strong understanding of web design principles and content development
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English
- Ability to pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification
- Proficiency in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual platforms
- Access to a private, quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet (coax or fiber)
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and enhancement of secure and public-facing web applications and websites, including restricted and external platforms
- Assist with ongoing maintenance of web properties by reformatting text, validating hyperlinks, managing file transfers, and posting approved content
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving the usability, content architecture, and overall value of web platforms
- Develop and implement web page layouts and interactive visual designs in collaboration with design and production teams
- Support SharePoint administration and engineering activities related to internal and external web pages
- Apply HTML scripting and related technologies to update and maintain website content effectively
- Collaborate with business users to identify suitable publishing technologies and web solutions that meet organizational needs
- Work with cross-functional teams and internal experts to design technical solutions aligned with program objectives
- Provide recommendations to improve web development workflows, processes, and project outcomes
- Ensure timely delivery of web-based solutions through effective communication with project teams
- Support daily web operations and contribute to deliverables that impact operational results
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success and organizational goals
