About The Role We are seeking a talented Lead Front End Engineer to join our remote team at Capital One Software. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, content strategists, and design teams to develop and optimize our marketing website. Your primary focus will be on creating a fast, accessible, and scalable web platform that effectively communicates our brand and product offerings. You will lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of the website using modern technologies such as React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing pixel-perfect UI components, integrating third-party services like analytics, CMS, and A/B testing tools, and ensuring the website adheres to SEO and accessibility standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the digital presence of a forward-thinking company, driving performance improvements and enhancing user experience across all web pages. Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of front-end engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency with React and Next.js, including App Router, server components, and SSG/SSR strategies
  • Deep understanding of TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and responsive, accessible component development
  • Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms and third-party APIs
  • Proven ability to work directly with marketing and design stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Contentful CMS or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with design systems such as Figma and ShadCn UI
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain the company's marketing website utilizing React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with design teams to implement polished, pixel-perfect UI components with attention to detail
  • Integrate website functionalities with third-party services including analytics, CMS, Marketo Forms, and A/B testing tools
  • Establish reliable and efficient staging and production deployment processes
  • Work closely with marketing stakeholders to translate campaign and product goals into effective technical solutions
  • Optimize website performance by driving Core Web Vitals scores, SEO best practices, and web accessibility standards
  • Govern and continuously improve development workflows, including branching strategies, release processes, and incident response times
  • Maintain and enhance content management workflows through Contentful CMS and related tools
  • Ensure website security, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards
