About The Role

The Digital Product Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch plays a pivotal role at the intersection of business, technology, and design, responsible for defining and delivering customer-centric, digitally enabled experiences across the company's ecosystem. This highly visible and collaborative position resides within the User Experience and Digital Product Team, overseeing one or more experience and service squads. The incumbent operates strategically to develop the vision and direction for their product area while inspiring cross-functional teams to execute daily activities aligned with strategic goals. The role entails managing the quality, operational health, and risk posture of the product, ensuring that deliverables meet high standards and business expectations. The Digital Product Manager is instrumental in translating customer insights into innovative solutions, prioritizing features, and coordinating with various departments such as UX, IT, Data Science, Merchandising, Marketing, and Finance. They are also responsible for product operations, risk mitigation, and fostering collaboration across teams to achieve business outcomes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the company's digital landscape, drive innovation, and contribute to the global customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of digital product management experience in consumer-facing mobile and web products
  • Proven track record of launching innovative customer experiences to market
  • At least 3 years of retail industry experience or equivalent domain expertise
  • Proficiency in Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methodologies
  • Experience managing product operations and risk in partnership with delivery managers
  • Strong understanding of modern digital technologies and cross-functional communication skills
  • Exceptional strategic planning, OKRs setting, and business outcome driving capabilities
  • Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize effectively, and work independently
  • Leadership qualities including coaching, mentoring, and influencing stakeholders at various levels

Responsibilities

  • Shape strategic direction through customer insights, market analysis, and product vision articulation
  • Identify customer problems via user research, voice of customer, and data analysis; validate solutions through experiments and usability testing
  • Translate product vision into outcome-focused roadmaps and sprint plans, prioritizing work and resolving blockers
  • Align cross-functional teams including UX, IT, Data Science, Merchandising, and Marketing to meet launch timelines and deployment plans
  • Own product operational health, backlog management, and performance in production environments
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks by reviewing dependencies, timelines, and assumptions, and proposing mitigation strategies
  • Define success criteria, document requirements, and oversee validation plans from development to post-launch monitoring
  • Facilitate collaboration through story mapping, workshops, stand-ups, design reviews, and retrospectives
  • Serve as an end-to-end subject matter expert for assigned product areas and provide coaching to peers
