About The Role Join our dynamic team as a Data Engineer within the Corporate Technology Data Engineering & Analytics division. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for executing our data and technology strategy to support digital transformation and enhance operational efficiency across Investment Management. You will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines, including streaming and batch processing solutions, data marts, and data warehouses. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing scalable and reliable data collection and processing systems that meet the evolving needs of our investment management business. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data assets that drive informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, data modeling, and database design
  • 5+ years of experience with ELT methodologies and tools
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL
  • 3+ years of coding and scripting experience in Python, Java, or Scala
  • 2+ years of experience working with Spark framework

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and measure complex ELT jobs to process disparate data sources, ensuring the creation of high integrity, high-quality, and clean data assets
  • Develop and enforce data modeling policies, procedures, processes, and standards to maintain data consistency and quality
  • Assist in capturing and documenting system flow, database design, and technical information related to data systems
  • Establish comprehensive data quality standards and implement tools to monitor and ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Collaborate with Investment Management departments to understand new data patterns and requirements
  • Work closely with Data Analysts, Data Architects, and BI developers to design scalable data solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Translate high-level business needs into detailed technical specifications for data solutions
  • Optimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines to improve performance and reliability
  • Stay updated with emerging data technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data infrastructure
