About The Role The Health Data Analyst at Prime Therapeutics plays a crucial role in analyzing pharmacy benefit data to support organizational and client objectives. This remote position involves providing detailed insights, developing analytical models, and creating reports that inform strategic decision-making. The analyst will evaluate the performance of pharmacy networks and benefits, identify key drivers of benefit utilization, and recommend improvements. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be proactive in developing new analytical tools and products aligned with Prime’s strategic imperatives, contributing to the company's mission of improving healthcare outcomes through data-driven solutions. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management, healthcare analytics, reporting, or related fields
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and data manipulation
  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills with the ability to research and analyze client data
  • Strong industry knowledge of PBM operations, metrics, and trends
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences
  • Ability to establish rapport and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret pharmacy benefit data, trends, and reports to support client and organizational needs
  • Partner with analytics teams to develop recommendations, reports, and analytical models
  • Create and execute complex queries using SAS EG, including multiple table joins and detailed formulas
  • Participate in the development of new analytic methodologies, models, and products aligned with strategic goals
  • Support Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services reporting and analysis, including bid support and directory management
  • Investigate key drivers of benefit performance and utilization to inform strategic decisions
  • Respond to follow-up questions and scope changes related to ongoing projects
  • Maintain compliance with security, legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives
