Lead Full Stack Developer (HealthTech AI Platform)

Company Description

Sentium is developing an AI-powered preventative health screening platform that turns raw biomarkers into actionable insights. The platform helps people detect health risks early by analyzing blood test results, symptoms, and wearable data. We are pre-launch, VC-friendly, and collaborating with UK-based labs and GPs to deliver personalized health reports through an at-home kit and AI interpretation engine.

Role Description

As our first in-house developer, you’ll take technical ownership of the MVP, building and scaling a compliant, secure, and AI-integrated digital health product. You’ll work directly with the founder, medical advisors, and our AI partner to launch the platform and shape the tech roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of our web/mobile app MVP (React or Flutter)
• Build and integrate backend services (Node.js or Python/FastAPI)
• Connect to LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI) and structure AI prompts or workflows
• Set up secure API integrations with third-party labs and wearable platforms
• Ensure GDPR/ISO compliance, basic data encryption, and secure health data handling
• Own the full development lifecycle (architecture → deployment → maintenance)
• Support recruitment or onboarding of additional devs (if scaling)

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in full stack development (ideally product ownership)
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Next.js or Flutter)
• Backend experience with Node.js, Python (FastAPI/Django), or similar
• Experience working with third-party APIs, especially in health or logistics
• Familiarity with OpenAI, LangChain, or other LLM integration frameworks
• Knowledge of data privacy best practices (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
• Startup mindset — comfortable with ambiguity and lean execution

Nice to Have

• Experience in digital health, MedTech, or regulated industries
• Previous work with wearable or biomarker data
• Exposure to ISO 27001, UKCA/CE certifications, or NHS digital onboarding
• Interest in AI agent frameworks, vector DBs, or embedding retrieval pipelines
