Project Description MyPortal is a customer-facing application that supports teachers in their daily workflow by acting as a seamless digital companion to physical educational materials. It serves as the central access point for all digital products a school has licensed, creating an integrated and intuitive experience across different learning methods. Focused on usability, clarity, and time-saving functionality, MyPortal helps teachers access lesson resources, manage digital tasks, and discover new products in one streamlined environment. We aim to become the trusted digital gateway for all educational tools across our ecosystem—harmonising access and ensuring a consistent, efficient, and personalised experience for every teacher. The Junior Product Owner will join one of four international development teams, working in a scaled agile environment. Role Responsibilities

  • Own and manage your team’s backlog ensuring clarity, prioritisation, and alignment with business goals.
  • Investigate and analyse business and user needs, translating them into structured requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Team lead, UX Designers. Developers and stakeholders to ensure solutions address user needs and educational workflows.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation (requirements, flows, diagrams) to support shared understanding across teams.
  • Facilitate option analysis with engineers, clarifying trade-offs, dependencies, and risks.
  • Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions.
  • Ensure scalability and alignment of solutions across multiple markets.
  • Embed accessibility standards and inclusive design into product requirements.
  • Define and validate analytics tracking requirements with data teams.
  • Support the identification, assessment, and prioritisation of production issues and technical debt to maintain product stability and long-term quality.
  • Propose and implement improvements to product workflows and delivery processes.

Must-have Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to investigate and clarify business/user needs and impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in stakeholder alignment and facilitation.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFe).
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria (e.g., INVEST).
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Familiarity with UML/BPMN and interpreting diagrams (e.g., sequence, activity).
  • Understanding of system architecture, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Experience managing dependencies across teams.
  • Experience in the education or edtech sector, or a willingness to quickly build domain knowledge.
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture and multi-market SaaS products.
  • Awareness of accessibility principles and inclusive design practices.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and defining tracking requirements.
  • Exposure to UX research outputs (e.g., personas, journey maps).
