Senior Data Engineer

2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Data Engineer will be an integral part of the Data Engineering team responsible for managing the entire data lifecycle. This role bridges technical systems and business needs by building and maintaining data pipelines and transforming raw data into trusted, high-quality datasets. The position contributes directly to enabling data-informed decisions across the organization by improving data accessibility, reliability, and quality. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve the data platform while ensuring adherence to data governance and privacy standards.

3. Responsibilities:

• Build and manage business data pipelines and transform telemetry data into high-quality datasets

• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to create models and metrics that inform decisions

• Monitor data quality using observability tools and participate in weekly triage to resolve issues

• Partner with engineering teams to improve the data platform and workflows

• Implement and enforce data governance and privacy policies across large-scale datasets

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of professional data engineering experience

• Proficiency in SQL and Python with interest in integrating AI into workflows

• Experience in data modeling, translating complex business processes into analytical models

• Strong software engineering skills with modular, reusable, and efficient code design

• Ability to independently plan and execute projects while communicating effectively with distributed teams

• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: new data collection methods, data-driven decision-making, cloud distributed systems (GCP), distributed databases, message queues, batch or stream processing

• Knowledge of data orchestration, error handling, and idempotency to ensure data reliability
