About Rad AI

Rad AI is a pioneering healthcare technology company dedicated to transforming the medical imaging landscape through the power of artificial intelligence. Founded by a radiologist, our mission is to develop innovative AI-driven solutions that enhance diagnostic accuracy, streamline workflows, and reduce clinician burnout. With access to one of the largest proprietary radiology report datasets globally, Rad AI has made significant strides in improving patient outcomes by uncovering hundreds of new cancer diagnoses and nearly halving error rates across tens of millions of radiology reports. Our commitment to advancing healthcare is backed by over $140 million in funding, including a recent oversubscribed Series C round led by Transformation Capital, which has elevated our valuation to over half a billion dollars. Our investors, including Khosla Ventures, World Innovation Lab, Gradient Ventures, and Cone Health Ventures, support our vision to empower physicians with cutting-edge AI technology.

Recognized as one of the most promising healthcare AI companies by CB Insights and AuntMinnie, and ranked by Deloitte as the 19th fastest-growing company in North America, Rad AI continues to push the boundaries of innovation. Recently, we were named to CNBC’s Disruptor 50 list, highlighting our momentum and commitment to revolutionizing healthcare through AI.

About The Role

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product management, UX, and customer success—to develop scalable, secure, and reliable systems that support our rapid growth and commitment to compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Your expertise will help us optimize performance, security, and maintainability of our platform, ultimately improving healthcare delivery for millions of patients.

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with web APIs, WebSockets, IndexedDB, and browser networking APIs
  • Experience with unit and integration testing methodologies
  • Strong version control skills, particularly with Git
  • Experience working within HIPAA-compliant environments and understanding of healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, FastAPI, and related technologies
  • Build and enhance web applications with React/TypeScript to improve user workflows and interface responsiveness
  • Implement new features and functionalities supporting our growing customer base
  • Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability by adhering to best practices and internal standards
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and customer success teams to iterate on product features and resolve issues
  • Optimize system performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement solutions to handle large-scale data processing
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform architecture and infrastructure
