The Role

We are looking for Senior Backend developer with Python experience to join our fast-growing Network. You will play a key role in building modern web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and helping shape the future of user experiences across various platforms.

This is a long-term, full-time remote engagement. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and deliver impactful features in real products.

Main responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design and architecture to deployment and maintenance
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented backend code
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders
• Work with relational and/or non-relational databases
• Implement and maintain testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability
• Support deployment processes and contribute to backend infrastructure when needed
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of Commercial experience with Python in web development
• Strong experience with at least one backend framework: Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Proven experience working on backend systems (not only scripting or data tasks)
• Experience participating in the full SDLC, including architecture and technical decision-making
• Solid understanding of API design and backend best practices
• Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Hands-on experience with testing, such as:
• Unit testing (e.g. Pytest)
• Basic integration testing and mocking
• Familiarity with Git-based version control
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure, microservices, etc
• Mentoring software developers in gaining experience and assuming development responsibilities (plus).
• Basic knowledge of frontend (plus).
