About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Business Analyst to join our healthcare team on a 12-month W2 contract basis. This fully remote role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a prominent healthcare payer organization, contributing to critical national healthcare mandates such as CMS-0057-F Interoperability and BCBSA standards. The successful candidate will serve as a vital link between business operations, IT development teams, and testing units to facilitate seamless communication and project execution. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep clinical and technical expertise, capable of leading large stakeholder meetings, defining complex requirements, and ensuring alignment across multiple teams and platforms. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in Business Analysis within healthcare or payer environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of clinical operations and systems. Proven expertise in Utilization Management, Case Management, and Clinical Operations is essential. Candidates must have mandatory proficiency with CMS-0057-F Interoperability requirements, showcasing their ability to navigate complex federal mandates. A robust clinical background, particularly in Prior Authorization and Utilization Management processes, is required. Experience working with GuidingCare platform is critical, along with a demonstrated ability to lead large-scale projects and coordinate diverse stakeholder groups effectively. A relevant bachelor’s degree or higher in healthcare administration, informatics, or related fields is preferred. Responsibilities The Lead Business Analyst will be responsible for leading stakeholder meetings to gather and define detailed business requirements and operational scenarios. They will develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Business Process Flows, and Traceability Matrices, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout project lifecycles. Acting as the Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME), the analyst will provide expert guidance on medical management applications, with a focus on Utilization Management and Prior Authorization workflows. Additionally, the role involves liaising between business teams and IT developers to translate clinical needs into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The analyst will oversee requirements management for clinical platforms such as GuidingCare and facilitate their integration with medical policy platforms like MCG and InterQual, as well as national data hubs. Managing cross-functional collaboration, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements are integral parts of this position.
