Job Description

Posted on: August 7, 2025

In a nutshell

As a Senior Product Manager at Lyssna, you’ll play a key role in a fast-paced, mature startup environment where strategy and delivery are tightly connected, and product thinking happens at every level. You'll be responsible for leading the discovery and prioritisation of opportunities aligned to our annual strategic pillars, and work closely with the Product Management team to help shape our product roadmap. You'll also be embedded into a cross-functional squad of engineers and designers to deliver initiatives that are driven by experimentation, and focused on solving real customer problems and supporting Lyssna’s growth.

Who we are

Lyssna is a remote UX research platform that helps organisations deliver products that perfectly fit their customers’ needs. We empower researchers, designers, marketers and product people to engage directly with users and get rich feedback, quickly and easily. We’ve been championing human-centred design practices for over 10 years with big and small customers including Asana, Google, Metalab, UsTwo, Unilever and Zendesk.

Who we’re looking for

  • You have at least 5 years of product management experience in SaaS, with experience in a senior-level role.
  • Ideally, you’ve worked as a Product Manager in a remote environment and know how to operate effectively in that context: how to effectively present requirements or ideas, when to collaborate async vs live, and how to keep stakeholders aligned without constant meetings.
  • You have strong E2E product delivery experience, and have worked embedded in tight-knit cross-functional teams of engineers and designers, often across multiple projects in parallel.
  • You like to test things early and often (and you’ve got the experience to back it up in previous roles) — whether that’s through quick prototypes, spikes or proof of concepts.
  • You’re confident in ambiguity and can bring structure and clarity to vague problems or open-ended ideas.
  • You’re decisive and pragmatic, using data and customer insights to guide your thinking, but not afraid to trust your gut when needed.
  • You're organised and proactive, always thinking about what we need to do to prepare ourselves for the coming cycle, quarter or year.
  • You bring energy and focus to the teams you work with, helping people feel aligned, involved, and motivated to build.

Picture yourself in the roleIf you were here for this month, you would have:

  • Led discovery activities (data analysis, surveys, customer interviews, market analysis, whatever you assessed was required!) around a key customer problem identified as part of our 2026 strategic pillars, using the insights to help identify and shape opportunities.
  • Been an active part of collaborative sessions with the Product Management team, led by the CPO and Group Product Manager, to brainstorm and define our “Now, Next, Later” roadmap.
  • Kicked off a project by proactively sharing a FigJam board, roughly outlining how the feature might work and the key considerations, then using it as a starting point for async and live feedback sessions with your squad and other stakeholders.
  • Worked closely with the Design and Engineering Leads in your squad to shape and plan the build of a new feature, driving collective decision making on what should be tested or released incrementally to customers.
  • Worked quickly and intuitively with the squad to shape and launch a lightweight experiment to validate an idea or feature, tracking success metrics that you’ve defined and then interpret the results to decide what to do next.
  • Shipped a handful of BAU product enhancements, some shaped by your direct inputs, others driven by the squad’s own product awareness and ability to self-prioritise what’s worth squeezing into a cycle.
  • Triaged an issue with the team — whether it was a bug or an edge case that surfaced late into a project — and jumped on a quick call to work through the problem, explore possible solutions, and made a call on how to prioritise and move forward.
  • Proactively found a way to improve how the Product team works, whether that be mentoring other PMs by sharing your experience or suggest helpful frameworks, or suggesting small process tweaks to make planning, collaboration, or decision-making smoother.
