Sr Engineering Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Engineering Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will support high-impact work that contributes directly to business performance and team success. You will collaborate across functions to move priorities forward, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategic direction and day-to-day execution in a fast-moving environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $180,000 – $215,000 annually Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team
• Streamline engineering operations by identifying bottlenecks and enhancing documentation standards
• Monitor workloads to ensure sustainable, high-quality work and prevent burnout
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment among Engineering, Product, Design, and more
• Encourage innovation by promoting experimentation with AI and new tools

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of engineering management experience in a Series B or C startup
• Experience in a scaling startup environment with comfort in ambiguity
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on optimizing workflows and process management
• Technical credibility with a background in software engineering
• Empathetic leadership skills, fostering team culture and psychological safety
