Step into a prestigious APAC leadership role with a global AI innovator in the retail sector. This is a rare opportunity to combine your technical foundations, leadership expertise and client facing skills to deliver large scale transformation across the region.
As Senior Operations Manager (APAC), you’ll lead regional operations, manage a high performing remote team and partner directly with major retail clients across Australia (predominantly Melbourne and Sydney) and APAC. You’ll drive complex enterprise implementations, influence global strategy and work closely with senior executives worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the APAC operations team, setting strategy, KPIs and ensuring world-class delivery
- Drive end to end project management for large scale enterprise client deployments
- Act as a senior technical authority (Linux, Docker/Podman, networking, Ansible)
- Collaborate with global teams across sales, product and engineering
- Partner hands-on with major retail clients across Australia to ensure success
- Represent the organisation at client meetings, kick-offs and strategic reviews (will require some travel)
Skills Required
- Strong commercial experience in technical program management, solutions engineering, or project leadership
- A background in technical delivery (Linux, containers, networking, automation) with the ability to now operate at leadership and client-facing executive level
- Proven experience leading teams in a global, matrixed organisation
- Strong project management skills (Jira, Microsoft 365, Teamwork)
- Excellent communicator who can engage and influence senior stakeholders across timezones
