As adoption continues to expand across schools, they are growing their engineering capabilities and adding a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support increasing demand. As a Sr. Engineer, you will play a meaningful role in shaping how the platform evolves, contributing across the full stack while bringing thoughtful input into architecture, scalability, and product direction. • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent experience/field
• Background working within small engineering teams or startup environments
• Prior work in building and maintaining full-stack web applications
• History of contributing to both backend and frontend development
• Exposure to cloud-based application deployment
• Work within environments without dedicated DevOps or QA teams
• Participation in architectural or system design discussions

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain the company’s web-based platform using a modern MERN stack architecture
• Develop backend services and APIs supporting application functionality and scalability
• Contribute to frontend development using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Participate in architecture discussions related to performance, reliability, and system growth
• Translate product ideas into practical technical solutions
• Collaborate with leadership and technical stakeholders to prioritize features and improvements
• Improve platform scalability as adoption across schools continues to grow
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the application stack
• Help introduce practical development practices within a growing engineering environment
• Provide technical feedback during product planning discussions
• Support AWS-based deployment and infrastructure needs
• Participate in testing and validation where dedicated QA resources are limited
• Contribute to improving the engineering organization as the team expands
• Work independently while collaborating with a small cross-functional team
