This is a fully remote opportunity for a senior technology professional responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting complex enterprise applications.
You will lead high-complexity application development initiatives while partnering closely with business users and IT teams.
The role combines hands-on programming, technical analysis, troubleshooting, system optimization, and solution design.
You will work across a sophisticated technology landscape integrating IBM i, Oracle, Salesforce, AWS, and other platforms.
The position offers the opportunity to influence application architecture, improve system performance, and deliver scalable solutions.
You will also contribute to Agile delivery, mentor less-experienced analysts, and help maintain high development standards.

Accountabilities
- Develop, configure, code, test, debug, and enhance complex proprietary and third-party applications based on business and technical requirements.
- Translate requirements into detailed technical specifications, designs, and user stories that support high-quality application development.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues independently, identify workflow bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions that improve reliability and performance.
- Lead application development projects of significant complexity while contributing to application scope, objectives, research, and solution design.
- Provide escalated technical support and resolve issues referred by IT Customer Support.
- Conduct code reviews and complete appropriate follow-up actions to maintain development quality and consistency.
- Follow established System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies, procedures, and development standards.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Work with vendors to resolve technical problems and coordinate the delivery of IT products and services.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and training to less-experienced programmer analysts.
- Support the development and maintenance of applications integrated across hybrid environments and enterprise platforms.
- 10+ years of experience developing and supporting applications within the IBM i environment, including static and dynamic SQL, Data Queues, Journals, Journal Receivers, Triggers, Functions, DB2, CL, RPG, SQLRPG, and RPG Free.
- Strong experience with Stored Procedures, RDi, RDP, ACS, VS Code, or comparable graphical development tools.
- Advanced ability to write free-form SQL queries and work with large, complex databases.
- Experience with application analysis tools such as X-Analysis, Hawkeye, Abstract, or similar solutions.
- Knowledge of query optimization techniques, including Visual Explain and other IBM performance-tuning tools.
- Advanced knowledge of IBM i Work Management, including job queues, subsystems, and debugging interactive and batch processes.
- Familiarity with current IBM i operating system versions, including V7R4 and V7R5.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular, and other object-oriented programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile development environments and participating in standard Agile ceremonies.
- Experience with FTP, encrypted FTP, and secure file-transfer communications.
- Experience working with complex systems integrated with platforms such as Oracle, Salesforce, AWS, and other hybrid applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently on complex technical challenges.
- Ability to provide mentorship and collaborate effectively with technical and functional stakeholders.

- Salary: $99,800–$137,300, depending on experience and qualifications.
