Freelance Python Developer - Job Scraping Tool (flexible, remote)

ivee is a fast-growing, VC-backed startup on a mission to help people return to work - without taking a pay cut. Built by sisters Amelia and Lydia Miller, and inspired by their mum’s own return-to-work journey, ivee is a tech-first, innovative platform breaking down barriers for people after a career break.

We’re looking for a freelance Python developer to build and maintain a scalable job scraping tool that helps fuel our AI-powered job matching engine.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain a robust job scraping tool using Python
• Scrape job data from multiple external sources (think web pages, job boards, etc.)
• Clean, normalise, and structure scraped data for consistency and accuracy
• Store data via SQLAlchemy with PostgreSQL or submit it directly to our API
• Implement logging, error handling, and retries for reliable scraping
• Optimise for efficiency, rate limits, and deduplication
• Work closely with our data and backend teams on schema and format design

What you bring:

• Strong experience in Python web scraping
• Familiarity with SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL
• Comfort with APIs, version control (Git), and ideally AWS
• An eye for clean code and scalable architecture
• Someone that can use AI to speed up their work
