Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Forensic Analyst at ISRM. The Forensic Analyst will conduct digital forensic examinations on systems, networks, and devices to identify, collect, preserve, and analyze electronic evidence. Day-to-day tasks include performing forensic imaging, analyzing logs and artifacts, documenting findings, and preparing clear, defensible reports for internal stakeholders and external clients. The role involves collaborating with cybersecurity and legal teams during investigations, supporting incident response efforts, and contributing to the improvement of forensic methodologies and tools. The Forensic Analyst will also assist in maintaining chain-of-custody procedures and ensuring that all investigative activities align with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Forensic Analysis and Evidence handling skills, including collection, preservation, documentation, and reporting.
  • Candidates should possess Malware Analysis and Cybersecurity skills to identify, understand, and mitigate malicious activity and security incidents.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex technical data and draw accurate, actionable conclusions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFCE, CHFI, GCFA, GCFE) and experience with common forensic tools and frameworks (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, Volatility) are beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, digital forensics, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple cases, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
