Based in London, our customer is a global leading law research, ranking and directories business, ranking ‘elite’ (top 5%) law firms and lawyers in over 200 jurisdictions across the world. The company is the ‘Michelin guide’ of the legal world, and law firms invest considerable time and effort into achieving a ranking. The company is around 30 years old, in 2018 it was purchased by a private equity house with a view to modernizing and growing the business substantially. This includes digital transformation of all the corporate processes and flows, which will be our main goal for the short and medium term.

Customer’s strategy is to transform from being a print-based publishing business, with advertising as prime revenue, to an online subscription business with data insight, ranking directories and differentiated content at its core. This means moving from a largely anonymous audience to one that is known, and thus building strategic customer platforms and products of the future.

The candidate for this position In this role you will act as a Proxy Product Owner, translating the business and long-term product targets into actionable user stories for the agile team to develop. You will work closely with the team, as well as in a broader organization with various stakeholders and dependent teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stories meet DoR
• Accountable for Acceptance Criteria
• Document process flows for functionality where relevant
• Provide clarifications to the team
• Raise any issues with me that they cannot make the decision for
• Help keep the team unblocked
• Assist with Incident Management
• Contribute to Release planning
• Contribute to Go To Market strategy

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience as a Product Owner in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Expertise in collaborating with remote and distributed teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders.

Will be a plus:

• Proven track record of delivering successful products from concept to launch
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, Microsoft Clarity).
• Comfort and familiarity in using AI tools for product ideation and prototyping will be considered a strong plus.
