IIoT Senior Software Developer (Contract)

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Day Rate: £550–£650 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 3 months initial + 3 month extension

Our client, a leading organisation in industrial engineering and digital solutions, is hiring an IIoT Senior Software Developer to support the continued development of their Industrial IoT platform.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge connected solutions within an established industrial environment, helping modernise digital capability and drive data-led innovation.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable IIoT software solutions
• Build and enhance cloud-connected applications and services
• Integrate industrial systems, devices and sensors into digital platforms
• Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical best practice

You’ll work closely with product teams, digital engineers and wider technology stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing solutions aligned to business needs.

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in IoT or industrial digital environments
• Proven background in modern software development (e.g. C#, .NET, Java, or similar)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS or equivalent)
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices and system integration
• Understanding of secure software development and scalable architectures

The ideal candidate will bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and experience operating within complex industrial or engineering environments.
