About The Role The Lead Data Scientist role is a pivotal position within the organization, responsible for spearheading the company's machine learning projects with a focus on computer vision, large language models, and scalable ML pipelines in Azure. As a technical leader, you will set strategic direction, establish best practices, and oversee the successful delivery of high-impact AI solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and business stakeholders, to align AI initiatives with organizational goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and maintaining production-ready models that address real-world challenges and provide measurable business value. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over six years of experience in data science and machine learning, with at least two years in a technical leadership role. You should have a proven track record of developing and deploying computer vision models into production environments, demonstrating expertise in object detection, image classification, segmentation, and multi-modal learning. Experience with fine-tuning, evaluating, and operationalizing large language models (LLMs) is essential, along with a strong understanding of prompt engineering and model productionization. Deep knowledge of MLOps practices on Azure, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and scaling ML workflows, is required. Proficiency in Python and relevant frameworks such as PyTorch, FastAPI, and Azure CLI is necessary. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment, providing mentorship and technical guidance to team members while aligning AI strategies with business objectives. Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and deploy computer vision models, including object detection, image classification, segmentation, and multi-modal learning techniques.
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and operationalize multi-modal large language models for various business applications.
• Lead experimentation efforts and prototype advanced machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex problems.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on guidance to the data science team to foster skill development and innovation.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure AI initiatives are aligned with strategic goals and deliver value.
• Design and implement scalable, reproducible, and monitored end-to-end ML pipelines on Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure the deployment of reliable, maintainable, and high-performance models, incorporating best practices in MLOps.
