Software Design Engineer

We're working with a world-leading manufacturer of professional live sound mixing consoles on this exciting opportunity. Join a highly specialized R&D team building the real-time control software that powers global concert tours, major theatrical productions, and international broadcasts. You will work across a high-performance stack involving C#, .NET, and OSC protocols to deliver seamless audio networking and console stability for the world's biggest stages. The Role

• Develop and maintain large-scale, real-time console control software using C# within a multi-threaded architectural environment.
• Design and implement OSC (Open Sound Control) interfaces to bridge console hardware with companion mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs within the console control system to ensure mission-critical stability during live performances.
• Collaborate across the full R&D lifecycle, gaining exposure to FPGA, embedded firmware, and C/C++ development over time.
• Take full ownership of software features, moving from system stabilization to the architecture of new third-party integrations.

What You'll Need

• 3-5+ years of commercial experience in C# development, or a strong background in Professional Audio with a high motivation to master C#.
• Proven expertise in multi-threaded and concurrent programming, including deep knowledge of thread safety and synchronization.
• Hands-on experience developing real-time or time-critical systems (embedded, audio, industrial, or simulation environments).
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to navigate complex codebases using SVN version control.
• A genuine passion for live sound technology or professional audio systems; knowledge of C/C++, MIDI, or TCP/UDP is a major plus.
