Android Engineer

This is a rare chance for a high-caliber Android Engineer to build the core SDK powering intelligent transport systems for major cities worldwide. You will dive deep into the Android platform layer, mastering location intelligence, Kotlin, and RxJava to solve complex engineering challenges at massive scale. The Role

• Lead the design and development of a high-performance Android SDK using Kotlin and Java that serves millions of global users.
• Solve sophisticated engineering hurdles involving background processing, sensor data integration, and real-time location tracking.
• Architect robust, developer-facing APIs that allow external partners to seamlessly integrate mobility and rewards systems into their own apps.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to optimize system-wide performance and ensure rock-solid reliability across thousands of device types.
• Drive the evolution of mobile architecture, focusing on asynchronous programming and advanced testing practices for a high-stake SaaS platform.

What You'll Need

• Proven expertise in Android development with a mastery of Kotlin and Java in a professional, commercial environment.
• Extensive experience with Reactive Programming (RxJava) and a deep understanding of multithreading and asynchronous operations.
• Hands-on experience building complex mobile systems, such as SDKs, frameworks, or large-scale consumer applications with millions of installs.
• Solid understanding of Android architecture components (MVVM/MVI) and mobile networking protocols for API integration.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support external partner teams during technical SDK integrations.
• Bonus points for experience with Bluetooth, On-device Machine Learning (ML), or Cross-platform environments.
