This is an opportunity to shape and scale a modern enterprise data platform while influencing data architecture strategy across a complex organisation. You'll play a key role in designing end-to-end data models, driving cloud-based data architecture decisions, and establishing a robust Medallion architecture that supports analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives.

The Role
- Design and maintain enterprise-wide conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Lead the development and optimisation of a modern Medallion Architecture, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers
- Define semantic data models that support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases
- Partner with data engineering teams to shape end-to-end data pipelines and data products
- Lead architecture assurance across business-critical projects and technology initiatives
- Design data integration patterns across multiple platforms, applications, APIs, and databases
- Translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions aligned with enterprise standards
- Drive best practice across data modelling, metadata management, master data management, and enterprise architecture design
- Assess the impact of new technologies, platform enhancements, and strategic change programmes
- Collaborate with engineering, security, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance across the wider data function
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Architect, Senior Data Architect, or Enterprise Data Architect
- Deep expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling
- Proven experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture frameworks with Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
- Strong understanding of modern cloud data platforms and lakehouse architectures
- Experience designing data solutions across both transactional and analytical environments
- Expertise in data integration, APIs, data pipelines, and large-scale data transformation programmes
- Strong knowledge of metadata management, master data management, and enterprise data design principles
- Experience producing architecture artefacts including ERDs, data dictionaries, ontologies, taxonomies, and star schemas
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting data migration, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives
- Previous experience within financial services, professional services, legal services, or other regulated industries would be advantageous
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality concepts, although the primary focus of the role is architecture, modelling, and modern data platform design
