About the Role

We are hiring a Technical Team Lead to lead a growing engineering team for a healthcare technology company based in Portland, Oregon.

This role combines technical leadership, team management, and architecture oversight. The team is responsible for building and maintaining enterprise software systems that support healthcare operations and data platforms.

We are looking for a hands-on engineering manager with a strong .NET background who enjoys mentoring engineers, improving development processes, and delivering reliable software systems in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
• Oversee the delivery of multiple software projects
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Provide technical guidance and architectural direction
• Ensure strong engineering practices (code reviews, testing, CI/CD)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and timelines
• Identify technical risks and delivery challenges
• Support adoption of modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing software development teams
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Strong experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale software systems
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and OOP
• Experience working in Agile development environmentsPreferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in healthcare or other regulated industriesEducation

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
