Data Analytics EngineerLocation: Remote (CST working time zone)Job Type: Direct HirePosition Summary:

The Senior Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for the integrity and flow of the data ecosystem. This role manages end-to-end technical onboarding for client data, automates ingestion pipelines, and resolves complex data discrepancies. You will act as the primary technical bridge between raw client data and our internal analytics environment, ensuring all data is mapped, validated, and accessible.

What you will do:

  • **Manage File Transfer and Security:**Design and maintain secure client data gateways using SFTP
  • Administer SharePoint file security and permissions to ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Ensure complete data isolation for sensitive client information
  • **Infrastructure Automation and Data Workflows:**Build and operationalize scripts using Python and PowerShell to automate file movements
  • Implement proactive pipeline monitoring and automated data cleanup processes
  • Develop automated notifications and workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)

Modern Data Stack (ETL/ELT) and Data Transformation:

  • Map incoming data formats CSV, Flat Files, DB files, EDI 834 Enrollment or EDI 835/837 Claims files into the Data Warehouse
  • Develop and optimize dbt models to transform raw claims and eligibility data
  • Prepare analytics-ready tables to support business intelligence and reporting needs
  • **Data Troubleshooting:**Perform root-cause analysis on complex data sets
  • Identify and resolve logic errors within Accumulators, Pharmacy Claims, and Eligibility files
  • Ensure data integrity across multiple pipelines and formats
  • **Professional Communication:**Provide clear, concise technical guidance to internal teams
  • Translate technical database errors into actionable solutions for non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain consistent communication to support cross-functional collaboration

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data operations, data architecture, or related roles
  • 3 years of experience in Healthcare or PBM settings, specifically developing enterprise solutions for claims, eligibility, and accumulator data
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy/Healthcare, including Claims, Eligibility, and Accumulators (preferred)
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and Power Platform automation (preferred)
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake, Fabric, and dbt
  • Proficiency in Python, MSSQL, and PowerShell for operational task automation and analysis
  • Practical knowledge of SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS, and secure managed file transfer (MFT) protocols
  • Expertise in handling CSV, 340B, Fixed-width (Flat-files), EDI, and Database files
  • Proven experience independently managing client-facing technical integrations (SFTP) and end-to-end data mapping
