Location: Westwood, MA Onsite Flexibility: Remote - candidate must provide their own computer and internet access. Contract Details:

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 12 months
  • Start: As Soon As Possible
  • Pay Rate: $45 - $45.71/hr
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (some flexibility if needed)

Job Summary: The Project Manager will oversee capital and expense projects across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire, ensuring that all phases are executed efficiently, on schedule, within scope, and on budget. This role requires close coordination with Customer Group leadership, regulatory partners, and IT stakeholders to drive successful delivery and maintain compliance with enterprise project standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of capital and expense projects, including research, benchmarking, scope definition, cost estimation, and project authorization.
  • Define project benefits, risks, contingencies, dependencies, and metrics for success while developing robust documentation and justifications.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and managing risks such as resource constraints, scope creep, and communication gaps.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, charters, and communication strategies.
  • Lead change management strategies for assigned projects, ensuring all documentation aligns with organizational standards.
  • Partner with legal, enterprise risk management, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and utility industry requirements.
  • Provide clear and consistent project status reports, updates, and communications for executive visibility.
  • Analyze and present complex information clearly, ensuring business alignment with strategic goals.

Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years of project management experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience with project management tools and software applications.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Prior experience in electric or gas utility environments or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of process mapping or customer journey mapping.
  • Project Management certification or related coursework.

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills (written, oral, and presentation).
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • High level of ownership and accountability in managing project deliverables.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable plans.
  • Adaptability and resilience in dynamic business environments.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in change control methodology and risk quantification.
  • Sensitivity/scenario analysis expertise.
  • Experience with utility project documentation standards.
