The Opportunity:

As our Web Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling Gardyn’s Shopify experience. Our website is more than a storefront, it’s where customers first connect with our brand, understand our technology, and decide to grow with us. You’ll help ensure that experience is fast, polished, and technically sound, supporting both day-to-day execution and larger growth initiatives.

In 2026, you’ll be instrumental in supporting our WooCommerce to Shopify migration, helping build a scalable, high-performing foundation for the future. Working closely with Creative, Growth, and the Web team, you’ll bring campaigns, experiments, and optimizations to life with clean, reliable code that improves performance, conversion, and overall user experience.

What You’ll Do:High-Quality, Reliable Shopify Development

• Build, refine, and maintain Shopify templates, front-end components, styles, and theme functionality using clean, reusable, well-documented code.
• Support the WooCommerce to Shopify migration by translating existing templates, implementing new theme structures, and ensuring parity and brand consistency across the redesigned experience.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device accuracy through structured QA, debugging, and proactive refinement.

Improve Web Performance & Conversion

• Improve site performance by optimizing code, reducing DOM complexity, compressing assets, eliminating unused scripts and styles, and following Shopify performance best practices.
• Partner with Web and Growth to implement A/B tests and CRO-driven UI variations with clean experiment code that preserves measurement integrity and supports rapid iteration.
• Embed accessibility and responsive design best practices across all pages and components to deliver high-quality, inclusive experiences.

Strong Collaboration & Cross-Functional Execution

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Website, Creative, Growth, and the Web Dev Lead to translate UX and design requirements into high-quality production code.
• Contribute technical recommendations during scoping, offering solutions that balance quality, feasibility, scalability, and timelines.
• Assist with issue resolution by monitoring site behavior, responding to reported bugs, and maintaining documentation for components, workflows, and updates.

What We’re Looking For:Shopify & Front-End Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Shopify theme development using Liquid, including building and extending reference themes (e.g., Dawn).
• Highly proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), with experience in modern CSS architecture (Sass/SCSS, CSS variables, structured methodologies).
• Experience integrating Shopify apps, working with metafields and structured data models, and supporting store operations.
• Familiarity with modern build tools and Git-based version control workflows.

Performance, Optimization & Quality

• Deep understanding of responsive design, cross-browser testing, accessibility best practices (WCAG, semantic markup), and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing A/B tests and supporting CRO initiatives with clean, experiment-ready code.
• Strong QA and debugging skills with attention to detail and production reliability.

Technical Breadth & Collaboration

• Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Familiarity with analytics and marketing tools (GA, GTM, ContentSquare, custom event tracking).
• Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable executing at a high level of detail.
• Collaborative, low-ego partner with strong ownership and accountability.

We provide competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefit offerings designed to support you at work and in life. The pay range for this role is $85,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and market alignment.
