Back-end Software Engineer

We are seeking a GCP Data Engineer to support a large-scale healthcare data platform environment. This role will focus on building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting data integration efforts, and helping scale cloud-based data infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and managing data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Google Cloud Composer, along with a strong foundation in modern data engineering practices within GCP.

This role will work closely with data engineering, analytics, and platform teams to support reliable, scalable data processing and delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform
• Build and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow and Cloud Composer
• Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs
• Work with large datasets across structured and semi-structured sources
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and platform teams to support data platform initiatives
• Ensure data pipelines are reliable, efficient, and scalable
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in production environments
• Support ongoing improvements to data architecture and pipeline performance

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong experience with Apache Airflow and Google Cloud Composer
• Experience with Python and SQL for data engineering tasks
• Experience working with large-scale data processing and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions
• Experience supporting enterprise data environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BigQuery
• Experience working with modern data pipeline architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
• Experience working in healthcare or highly regulated environments
• Experience supporting analytics or enterprise data platforms
