Technical Co-Founder / GIS Lead – PropTech Data Platform (Equity)

We are supporting a stealth PropTech founder seeking a Technical Co-Founder. This is not just a build role; it is an opportunity to solve a complex data problem: helping people figure out exactly where to live.

The Product Think of it as an IMDb for residential streets. Current platforms are too zoomed out (generic areas) or too specific (property listings). This platform unlocks the street level as the key unit of analysis. It combines livability metrics with a proprietary aesthetic dataset derived from AI trained on imagery and user feedback.

The Status: An MVP is already ~70% complete and is currently being built by a specialist GIS professor.

The Goal: We need a partner to take over the technical reins, professionalise the stack, and drive the product to launch.

The Role: The founder is looking for a GIS Specialist / Software Developer hybrid. You will be working with existing code, but will have the autonomy to shape the future architecture.

What they are looking for:

• Core Requirement: GIS & Geospatial Engineering. You must be deeply familiar with mapping technologies (e.g., PostGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, spatial data).
• Full-Stack Capability. Ability to own the application layer (Web/Mobile) to present the data in a user-friendly "table and map" interface.
• Data Science & AI Interest. Experience or strong interest in handling proprietary datasets, specifically using AI/Computer Vision on images to generate data points.
• Problem-Solving Mindset. You are enthusiastic about the specific challenge of "livability" and aesthetics.
• Founder Compatibility. You are likely in a similar life phase—willing to work on this part-time/sweat equity initially alongside a day job, with the intent to scale as the business grows.
