Back-End Engineer (Healthcare Tech, Startup Environment)The Role:

We’re looking for a Back-End Engineer who thrives on building scalable systems and solving complex technical problems. In this role, you’ll play a foundational part in architecting and maintaining the infrastructure behind a fast-growing healthcare technology platform, ensuring it’s secure, reliable, and built to scale.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and maintain scalable APIs and core services.
• Design and optimize data models for patient care workflows.
• Build integrations with external healthcare systems (EHRs, payers, and providers).
• Implement deployment pipelines, monitoring, and automated testing frameworks.
• Ensure system reliability, compliance (HIPAA), and data security.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape the technical roadmap.
• Identify and implement best practices for backend performance and scalability.

Nice to Haves

• Strong experience with Python/Django and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on with cloud infrastructure (GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, ICD/CPT codes)
• Experience working with EHR/EMR integrations
• Background in regulated environments with high compliance standards
• Exposure to LLMs (Anthropic, OpenAI) for backend-enabled AI features
