Job Description

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend Leaning) - Remote First 💫

We’re working with a fast-growing AI startup building a new generation of software workers that can take on complex, manual workflows for businesses - using AI to reason, act and complete work end-to-end.

Following a successful Series A and rapid customer growth, the company is now at an exciting stage of turning what has been built so far into a scalable, polished product used by leading businesses across a number of industries.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the customer-facing experience of the product and play a key role in shaping how users interact with AI-driven workflows.

🧩The role

  • Own the frontend experience: build and evolve the interfaces through which customers interact with AI-powered products
  • Shape the product: work closely with Product and Design to influence what gets built, bringing strong product judgement rather than simply implementing designs.
  • Raise the engineering bar: contribute to frontend architecture, technical standards, testing, performance and development practices as the team scales.
  • Stay hands-on: this is a highly autonomous role where you'll be expected to own projects end-to-end and have a meaningful impact on the direction of the product.

👀What we're looking for

  • Tech stack: Deep, production-level experience with React and TypeScript
  • Strong experience with modern frontend tooling such as Next.js, Vite and design systems.
  • A track record of building and shipping frontend products at startups, ideally having owned or helped build multiple products from the ground up.
  • Experience scaling or refactoring frontend codebases, including component libraries, design systems, shared tooling and frontend architecture.
  • Strong product instincts, you care about whether something is the right thing to build, not just whether it is technically well implemented.

📍 Setup: Remote-first, ideally based in the UK (or within approximately 3 hours of UK time)

💰 Salary: £100,000
