Now, they need a hands on Engineering Manager to lead a small team through a major platform migration.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Own the delivery of a high visibility migration from planning through to execution.
- Set clear delivery plans, give regular and honest progress updates, and manage expectations with senior stakeholders when the pressure is on.
- Line manage five engineers, running 1:1s, supporting their development and building a team that delivers with ownership.
- Contribute hands on across a Java back end, and play a key role in architecture and design decisions for the new platform.
Here's what they are looking for:
- Experience as an Engineering Manager leading a team while staying genuinely hands on.
- Experience leading a system migration is highly relevant.
- You can communicate clearly under pressure, keep senior people informed and build trust through reliable delivery.
- Strong architecture and system design skills, with the judgement to make sound technical decisions on a highstakes project.
