Frontend Engineer

Evidence is a powerful framework for building and publishing data products using SQL, markdown, and AI. We’re on a mission to create a new, modern standard for business intelligence - where software engineering principles are applied to building, distributing, and maintaining business reporting. Our code-based approach to business intelligence is challenging incumbents like Tableau, Looker, and PowerBI - and delivering a more modern experience to developers and end users. This is a big challenge filled with fascinating technical, developer experience, and user experience problems to solve. We have been thrilled with the reception to our tool from data teams at large enterprises, unicorns and startups. In order to keep up, we need a great frontend developer. • Contribute to the development of our new product, Evidence Studio - a browser-based, AI-augmented analytics IDE
• Develop data visualization components in close collaboration with our customers and our founders
• Build core reporting features for our customers that will have a meaningful impact on revenue
• Be an early member of the Evidence team with significant influence on the product and the company
• Work with Svelte, Markdoc, Node.js, JavaScript, and Clickhouse
• Report directly to the founders
• Have an equity stake in the company
• Own features end-to-end, with the latitude to develop your own solutions and engage directly with customers
• Help contribute to a culture of engineering excellence
