Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Business Data Analyst able to work on Melbourne time zone. The role involves working on data analysis projects to derive insights that support business decisions. Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, creating data models, reporting insights in a clear and actionable way, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and strategic outcomes. The successful candidate will also be expected to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and experience in Data Analytics
• Traditional Business analysis skills, such as elicitation, presentation, ability to analyse and develop comprehensive requirements
• Experience in Data Modeling and working with large datasets
• Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau and other relevant data analysis and data visualization tools
• Excellent communication skills for presenting data insights effectively
• Merging, cleansing, analysing, and visualising multiple datasets across different formats and systems.
• A results-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as well as in a team environment
• Strong documentation skills, ensuring clarity, consistency and maintainability
• Results-driven mindset with high attention to detail and quality

Desirable

• Knowledgeable in Data engineering
• Prior experience in a consulting or analytical role is advantageous
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus
• Power Apps
• Agile delivery
