Banking Software Engineer - AI Lab Consulting ($105/hr, up to $2.1k/week)

Note: This is a flexible, part-time opportunity that is 5-20 hours per week at $105 per hour (up to $2.1k/week). It can be done remotely and can be done both alongside or instead of full-time employment.

We're working with a leading foundational AI lab to find experienced software engineers with a banking and financial infrastructure background who can help train their latest language model on core financial systems engineering tasks.

We're looking for senior and staff engineers with 5+ years of experience building or maintaining the large-scale infrastructure that underpins financial institutions: core banking systems, settlement and clearing infrastructure, ledger systems, and the data pipelines that connect them. You have worked in environments where uptime is measured in fractions of a percent, where data integrity is non-negotiable, and where changes go through more scrutiny than almost anywhere else in software engineering.

You'll create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated work across core financial infrastructure engineering workflows: core banking system architecture, ledger and settlement system design, data pipeline and reconciliation design, high-availability system patterns for financial environments, and technical documentation for large-scale financial infrastructure.

Compensation: $105/hour

Commitment: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week (up to $2,100/week)

Location: Fully remote, work on your own schedule

Qualifications:

• Senior or Staff Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in core banking, settlement, or financial infrastructure at a top bank or financial technology company
• Deep expertise in high-availability system design, data integrity, and large-scale financial data pipelines
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
