Job Description
Posted on: February 18, 2026
We are recruiting a Program Manager for a private, forward-thinking philanthropic foundation dedicated to backing under-explored solutions with the potential for 100x social returns. This is a high-impact, remote role for a strategic generalist who thrives at the intersection of philanthropy, policy, and systems design. You will report directly to the CEO, moving fluidly between researching grant opportunities and building complex operational programs from the ground up. What You'll Do
- Strategic Execution: Design and lead 2-3 operational programs per year, managing everything from initial scoping to final deliverables
- Data-Driven Analysis: Build and maintain Social Return on Investment (SROI) models to provide quantitative support for program and grant decisions
- Grant Management: Identify and evaluate 3-5 high-potential grant opportunities annually, performing deep-dive research and due diligence
- Portfolio Oversight: Manage a diverse initiative portfolio across areas such as AI Interpretability, Climate Solutions, Housing, Healthcare, Education, and Big Art
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external partners, and domain expert advisors
RequirementsWho You Are
- Former Consultant or Operator: You have at least 4 years of experience in a high-growth startup or consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) and are ready to apply those skills to social impact
- Analytical Problem-Solver: You possess sound judgment and the ability to bring structure to highly ambiguous situations
- Execution-Focused: You are detail-driven and capable of managing multiple complex programs simultaneously without losing momentum
- Elite Communicator: You are an executive-level communicator, clear and concise in both written memos and verbal briefings
- Mission-Aligned: You have a genuine interest in systems-level change and innovative philanthropy
BenefitsCompetitive Compensation: We offer a salary and total rewards package that is commensurate with your experience and competitive within the philanthropic and strategy sectors. True Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the United States. We embrace an "all-remote" culture that values results over office hours, allowing for off-peak lifestyles and improved work-life harmony. Autonomy & Ownership: We believe in "Managers of One". You will have the agency to set your own pace, manage your own focus, and lead initiatives with a high degree of independence. Mission-Driven Impact: Opportunity to work at the intersection of philanthropy and systems design, backing breakthrough solutions that target 100x social returns. Broad Focus & Professional Growth: Exposure to a diverse portfolio—including AI Safety, Climate Solutions, and Big Art—offering unique professional development in emerging fields. High-Leverage Environment: Work directly with the CEO and a team of domain experts in a dynamic, flat-structure organization where no task is too small and no idea is too ambitious. Modern Workflows: We utilize best-in-class digital tools to facilitate asynchronous communication, ensuring you stay connected without meeting fatigue. INDEQL
