Senior Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an international cross-functional team focused on building and evolving modern cloud-based data platforms.

This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about scalable data architecture, cloud engineering, and modern data practices, working within a highly collaborative and product-oriented environment.

🌍 Location: 100% Remote (minimum 6 hours overlap with CET)

👉 For this opportunity, candidates must currently be based and living in Portugal.

What we’re looking for:

👉 Strong experience building scalable data platforms on Azure.

👉 Hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark in production environments.

👉 Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly valued.

👉 Solid understanding of CI/CD and modern engineering practices.

👉 Experience developing and maintaining robust data pipelines.

👉 Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and collaborate with architects and engineering teams.

👉 Comfortable reviewing code and contributing to engineering best practices.

👉 Strong communication skills and proactive mindset.

💡 Nice to have:

➕ Interest or exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning.

➕ Familiarity with AI tools used in daily development workflows.

🛠 What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.

• Improve and evolve cloud-based data platforms.

• Review code and support engineering quality standards.

• Write and maintain technical documentation.

• Help manage and reduce technical debt.

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Scientists, Developers, and Product Owners.

• Contribute to platform scalability, reliability, and long-term evolution.
