Engineering Manager, Developer Experience

The Company Easor is a financial management platform that connects entrepreneurs and accounting firms. Over 15,000 businesses across Finland, Sweden, Spain, and Italy run their invoicing, payments, and accounting on our software. We listed on Nasdaq Helsinki in March 2026. We are 120 people, 60 of whom are developers, working from Finland and Spain. We are investing heavily in engineering practices, tooling, and team structure to match the ambitions of an independent product company. This role is central to that effort. The Role and the Team You will lead a newly established team of four developers. Your job is to make every other team at Easor faster, safer, and more autonomous. The team operates as a platform for the company's stream-aligned product teams. There is no separate product manager — you set the vision, identify the highest-leverage problems, and decide how to solve them. You report to the CTO. Your tools include code, internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines, policies, a tech radar, and our existing ADR and architecture board practices. A central mandate is driving DORA metrics organization-wide and leading our DevOps transition on Azure. What You'll Do

• Lead the team. Establish the team, find working practices, and set the technical direction for developer experience at Easor.
• Drive DORA metrics. Measure deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and recovery time across all teams. Use the data to prioritize what to fix.
• Lead the IaC transition. Define the path to Infrastructure as Code on Azure, build the tooling, and bring the stream-aligned teams along.
• Own the developer platform. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, golden paths, and internal tooling. Enable safe AI-productivity. Make the path of least resistance the path of best practice.
• Curate technical governance. Maintain our tech radar, facilitate the architecture board, and develop our ADR practice into a habit of thinking through writing before building.

Who We're Looking For

• Hands-on engineer turned leader. You come from a strong engineering career building and shipping production systems. You have deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and modern software delivery. You’re up to date with AI-assisted development. You may still write code, but your primary impact is through design decisions, standards, and the people you lead. Prior management experience is preferred, but we will also consider an exceptional senior or staff engineer ready to make the transition.
• People-first manager. You hire well, develop individuals, and take 1:1s seriously. You adapt to the person in front of you and don't avoid hard conversations.
• Courageous challenger. You see what needs to change and say it plainly. You push for the right solution over the comfortable one.
• Steady builder. You bring stability and predictability to a 60-developer organization in transition. You build trust through consistency.
• Clear writer. You think through writing — narratives, decision records, strategy documents — and help others do the same.
• Independent operator. You set a vision and execute without a product manager. You know how to balance long-term platform work with quick wins.

Familiarity with modern web applications, the .NET ecosystem and DevOps practices is key. English fluency required. Finnish or Spanish is a plus. Practicalities
