Senior Full Stack Engineer

Overview:

Our client, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their consulting and delivery organization supporting major initiatives across the insurance and financial services sectors. This role serves as a critical technical leader within project teams, operating as the architect’s right hand and ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the second-most senior technical resource on the engagement, partnering closely with the Senior Solutions Architect.
• Contribute to architecture design, solutioning, and hands-on full stack development using Python, C#, or Java with React on the front end.
• Support cloud-native delivery leveraging Azure or AWS, depending on project requirements.
• Produce clean, scalable backend code and assist with front-end/UI tasks as needed.
• Perform advanced SQL work, including query optimization, indexing, and analysis of query plans.
• Work independently to manage engineering deliverables, proactively raise blockers, and ensure timelines and expectations are met.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engagement Directors, and junior engineers to drive technical and business outcomes for clients in banking, financial services, and insurance.

Requirements / Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience across backend and full stack development.
• Strong proficiency in Python (preferred), C#, or Java, and experience with React.
• Cloud experience with Azure or AWS, plus strong SQL fundamentals and optimization techniques.
• Demonstrated presence, initiative, and ownership in high-velocity environments such as consulting or startups.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for deliverables.
• Strong communication skills with experience working directly with stakeholders in client-facing settings.
• Exposure to regulated environments (PII, compliance, financial services) is helpful but not required.
