Our mission is to accelerate positive impact worldwide by helping nonprofits become highly effective at raising funds and managing their supporter base. Since 2014, we have powered more than 100,000 global organizations to close to $3B in donations. 🚀

Our fast-growing company is profitable and bootstrapped with a healthy run rate. We have a fully distributed and diverse 150-person team based in 16+ states and 23+ countries.

🏅Donorbox is rated the #1 software for fundraising, donor management, and nonprofit payment on G2 based on hundreds of verified customer reviews. We're proud of what we do, and our product reflects it!

The Role

Donorbox is looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Product. In this pivotal role, you'll drive the end-to-end design process, transforming complex challenges into intuitive and impactful solutions. You'll champion the user experience while meticulously aligning design strategy with our core business objectives, ensuring our products are both delightful to use and contribute significantly to our success. A key part of this role will involve close collaboration with Product Managers and Tech Leads, and collaborating within the entire product lifecycle and ensuring user needs and business goals are successfully met. We are particularly interested in candidates with a proven track record of designing features for business tools like CRMs, ERPs, and similar enterprise-level applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a user-centered design practice by conducting in-depth user research, including interviews, usability testing, and data analysis, to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points, translating these insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and other stakeholders to contribute to the product roadmap, define new features, and help shape the overall product strategy, ensuring design is integrated from conception.
  • Own the full design lifecycle from concept to launch, including creating user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, and validated with real users.
  • Collaborate and contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency across all product touchpoints and streamlining the design and development process.
  • Partner effectively with product managers, engineers, marketing, and other teams to gather requirements, iterate on designs, and ensure seamless implementation and delivery of product features.
  • Continuously monitor product performance, gather feedback, and use data-driven insights to iterate on existing designs and identify opportunities for ongoing product improvement.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize the Product Backlog and steering the development team to ensure value is delivered for both customers and business while providing delightful user experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design or a similar role, with a strong online portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process, strategic thinking, and visual design proficiency.
  • Enterprise Tool Design: Demonstrated experience designing complex features and workflows for business-to-business (B2B) applications such as CRMs, ERPs, or other enterprise software solutions.
  • Design Tool Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools like Figma.
  • Data-Driven Design: Strong ability to leverage data for design decisions, including the capacity to deep dive into product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics) to inform research and validate hypotheses.
  • User Research Expertise: Proven ability to plan, conduct, and synthesize various qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to connect user needs and business objectives, translate abstract concepts into concrete designs, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale to diverse audiences and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, with emphasis on developing and documenting user journeys that are properly handed off to Engineering.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences.

Bonus

  • Familiarity with the nonprofit space.
  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
