About The Role We're looking for Senior Software Engineers who thrive on solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, high-growth healthcare environment. Our engineering team is navigating an ambitious platform consolidation project, bringing together legacy systems and newer platforms into a unified technical architecture. This is a rare opportunity to work on meaningful integration challenges while building the next generation of digital healthcare infrastructure. You'll be working on projects that directly impact patient care across three countries and multiple regulatory environments. We balance rapid feature delivery with platform maturity, maintaining dedicated focus on technical excellence and sustainable engineering practices. This is a remote role accepting applications from candidates across Australia, working primarily within Australian time zones as part of a globally distributed team. What You'll Own

• Design and develop scalable web applications that serve patients and clinicians across multiple markets.
• Contribute to platform consolidation efforts, working across legacy and rebuild systems to deliver unified functionality.
• Build robust, secure integrations with healthcare systems including electronic health records, prescription monitoring, and telehealth infrastructure.
• Take ownership of projects from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across time zones to define technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Develop and optimise APIs for performance, scalability, and security in a healthcare context.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members, contributing to a strong engineering culture.
• Navigate complex technical decisions that balance immediate operational needs with long-term platform architecture.

RequiredWhat You’ll Need

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack development experience with modern web frameworks (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar).
• Experience building scalable web applications with both backend and frontend technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Vercel, or similar) and modern deployment practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple codebases and technical platforms.
• Strong bias towards testing, with experience implementing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
• Comfortable working in Australian time zones.

Highly Valued

• Experience with Python, TypeScript, React, or Next.js in production environments.
• Familiarity with modern deployment platforms (Vercel, AWS, or similar).
• Experience in digital health, telehealth, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks (Australian privacy laws, clinical governance, data security standards).
• Experience with platform migrations, system consolidation, or technical modernisation projects.
• Understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and data privacy regulations in healthcare contexts.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or healthcare interoperability standards.
• Background in eCommerce or subscription-based platforms.
