Software Engineer (New Grad) | Remote

Position: Software Engineer, New Grad (Zara)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $180K - $250K/yr

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of fullstack systems and product features.
• Build backend services and APIs with clean, maintainable code.
• Develop user-facing interfaces and improve product functionality.
• Support database design and data modeling for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and engineering improvements.
• Debug issues and help maintain reliable production systems.

Requirements

• Recent graduate in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with React and frontend development concepts.
• Familiarity with Node.js and backend development.
• Understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL and data modeling basics.
• Knowledge of APIs and system communication principles.
• Strong willingness to learn with attention to detail.
